Relight-Better Photos

No matter how good your phone’s camera is, it never quit captures the photo you want. The picture is too dark or it is just a little blurry. With the Relight app you can actually get pictures closer to what you actually see.

Relight uses eight special modes to bring out the best in all your photos.

Enhance - Improve lighting, contrast, and color to give your photos a more  natural to the eye look
Low Light - Improve dim lighting and correct exposure problems
Artistic - Add creative HDR effects to your photos
Clarity - Bring out details and enhance local contrast to make your photos stand out
Sky - Enhance contrast in the sky to create a distinct look
Dramatic - Heighten the emotion of your photos with bold lighting
Overexposure - Improve washed out and overexposed photos
Fog - Reduce fog and haze to bring life to otherwise dull photos

With all the photo enhancing apps out there, what sets this one apart? I like this app best for two reasons. One is its simplicity. After you download the app, you are given a quick, step-by-step tutorial that explains everything. You don’t have to be a photographer or artist to understand or operate the app. Secondly, it actually enhances your pictures without making them appear cartoonish.

An app for Movie Lovers

The 88th Academy Awards will be held February 28, 2016.  If you are as big a movie fan as I am, you might be interested in the following movie related app.

Run Pee

If you go to the movies often, more than likely you have had a moment where you wish you could go to the bathroom.  But who wants to leave in case something important happens.  Run Pee is an app that can help with that.  They have watched movies and determined which scenes aren't that crucial to the plot and designated them "Peetimes".  Each movie may have one to two "peetimes" in it.  The app lets you know the dialog to look for to find the scene.  It also has an alarm that you can set that will cause your phone to buzz alerting you that it's time to go.  In case you want to know what you are missing during the trip to the bathroom, there is a synopsis of the "peetime" scene.

Another nice feature of the app is that it lets you know of there are any scenes after the credits.  If you are a Marvel movie fan like I am, you know how important that information is.  And if you tend to run late to movies, it gives a synopsis of the first 3 minutes of the movie.

If you like going to the movies, give Run Pee a try.

Name of App: Run Pee

Audience: Teen and Adult

Platform: IOS, Android, Window

What the app does and why we recommend it:  The app tells you times in the movie that it is safe to go to the bathroom.

What platform we used to recommend the app: Android

Cost of app:  Free

Tired of Sorting Through Junk Mail in Your Inbox? We've Found Something to Help!

Are you ever overwhelmed by the deluge of emails flooding your inbox? Most of them are ads and subscriptions that you want to look at, but maybe don’t want to spend hours sorting through. Ever wish there was a way to get them under control in one simple email? Guess what? There’s an app for that!

The app is called Unroll.Me, and I have to say I love it. When you first sign up you have to give the app your email address and your email password. Then it helps you sort through your inbox. It will allow you to easily unsubscribe you from lists you no longer wish to receive emails from, roll up ads and subscriptions you still want to be informed about into one single email (digest mode), and separate out your important email you want don't want rolled up. You have complete control and can revise your settings or change what you roll up at any time by simply accessing the app. Once a day you will get a single email from Unroll.Me with all those multitudes of emails you rolled up in one message. Scroll through and pick out what you want to read or simply delete if there isn’t anything there you want to read. Quick, easy, and accessible. You can also visit the Unroll.Me app anytime you want to see what has been rolled up that day.
